Here at Whitecross Day Nursery, we aim to nurture and support your child.

We are registered with Ofsted and are members of the National Day Nursery Association (NDNA) which gives us lots of advice, ideas, training, courses, and updates regarding everything surrounding childcare in the early years.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The EYFS (2017) sets standards for the learning, development, and care of young children from birth to 5 years old.

In line with the EYFS Framework, children at Whitecross Day Nursery will learn through play and storytelling.

We provide a host of fun activities, experiences, and encourage exploring our rooms and of course, our spacious garden. Through this, we cover all of the key areas of learning, as set by EYFS. We liaise closely with parents and carers so we can carefully follow children’s interests, progress, and development. Children learn in different ways and progression in their learning happens at their own pace. We cater to children’s individual needs within each area of the curriculum, building on their existing understanding and experiences.
